Halle Berry Wraps Her John Wick 3 Role With Beautiful, Heartfelt Posts

Halle Berry clearly had the best time filming John Wick 3: Parabellum. She's a newcomer to Keanu Reeves' franchise, playing assassin Sofia in the 2019 film. Our first look at Sofia showed her in badass mid-walk, surrounded by (what else, for a John Wick movie?) two fierce dogs. But it's clear when the cameras weren't rolling, Berry was just soaking up the vibe of the international shoot. Here's the gratitude-filled post she shared after wrapping the movie:

Halle Berry is clearly grateful to the people of Morocco for making her feel at home, and shared high praise for the stunt team -- including Heidi Moneymaker. She also shared her respect for Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, adding on Instagram, "This film reinforces that AGE is nothing but an insignificant number!"

It's interesting that she brought up age when it comes to action franchises. We're in something of a golden age for 50-something stars to lead blockbusters -- Tom Cruise at age 56, Robert Downey Jr. at 53, Keanu Reeves at 54, and now Halle Berry at 52. You could easily name more stars, and add a few older ones like Harrison Ford, 76.

It's clear filming, particularly in Morocco, had a profound effect on Halle Berry. And if you have to work through the night until sunrise, it helps if the location looks like this:

Hard work, eh? I am so looking forward to seeing the results of this movie -- even if, from Halle Berry's photos, it looks more like a retreat than an action film. We know Keanu Reeves' John Wick has a contract out for him, with plenty of people still trying to kill him (except for one really cool person we thought might be back to try again). This time, in addition to dogs, we also have horses in the mix.

John Wick 3: Parabellum -- Keanu Reeves explained the title, in case you missed it -- co-stars Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Anjelica Huston, Ruby Rose, Asia Kate Dillon, and Sad Taghmaoui. The film opens in theaters on May 17, 2019. Here's what else you can look forward to seeing in 2019. Don't forget that Reeves will voice a character in Toy Story 4; someone already had a little too much fun mashing-up John Wick and Toy Story.
